2023 Brillion Till ‘N Seed® BPSB-8

The Brillion Till ‘N Seed® is a widely diverse seeder that offers rugged durability for customers who are looking to seed into existing turf, renovate pastures, restore athletic fields, reseed golf course fairways, inter-seed residential lawns and plant food plots. Contractors have employed the patented technology of the Till ‘N Seed to seed right of ways, water ways, and road side ditches.

The Evolution

The Till ‘N Seed concept started years ago from customers asking for a ground driven tool to renovate their pastures. Customers were looking for a seeder that would not disturb existing vegetation but would still be able to penetrate the hard surface of the pasture, placing the seed at the correct depth for the best chance at germination. The engineering staff went to work and through the design and testing process, the Till ‘N Seed was born. Not only could this seeder renovate pastures as was originally requested, but it was also the perfect tool for repairing damaged alfalfa fields, restoring athletic fields and lawns, de-thatching lawns, and planting and shredding food plots.

One machine…designed to prepare the seedbed without completely destroying vegetation already established, place the seed at the proper depth and finish the planting operation in all different types of applications – a truly “One and Done” machine.

The Workings

The foundation of the Till ‘N Seed is the one-piece all-welded steel frame, which supports the ground engaging seeding mechanism (rotors) and the seed boxes. To adapt to varying field conditions, down pressure on the tillage rotor is adjustable with an air shock and seed depth is set with adjustable gauge wheels. Seeding rates can be fine-tuned for each seed box. The seed is broadcast into the soil as it is opened by the rotors. A rear firming roller finishes the seeding operation by firming the seedbed.

The Details

The Till ‘N Seed is offered in a 6-foot three-point hitch model; two seed boxes are standard equipment. The front seed box features large micro-meters with an agitator and can plant a variety of seeds at varying rates in three ranges (refer to the seed rate chart for details). The rear seed box features small micro-meters for the precise seeding of very fine, small seeds.

A new addition to the Till ‘N Seed product line-up is the 8-foot model. This seeder can be configured in either a pull-type model or three-point hitch model.

Built-In Extras

Built-in parking stands allow three-point hitch models to be safely detached from the tractor without the fear of tipping. A built-in walk-board with steps and handrails on the rear of the unit allows for easy filling of the seed boxes. Built-in tie-down lugs are available for securing the Till ‘N Seed to trailers for transportation. A seed calibration tray makes custom seed rate calibration easy and is conveniently stored on the machine when not in use. Seed box disconnect pins disengage seeding mechanisms when the unit is used in tillage-only mode.

One and Done

The Brillion Till ‘N Seed is one user-friendly machine that can tackle a number of chores from restoring pastures and repairing fields on the farm, to interseeding residential lawns and golf course fairways, to repairing athletic fields, to planting food plots for hunting enthusiasts. Prepare, seed and finish…”One and Done.”
